Soap Box Derby 2026
Ready to build, race, and compete? The Fête au Village Soap Box Derby is a fun, family-friendly event that brings creativity, craftsmanship, and friendly competition together for an exciting weekend.
Registration & Inspection
Registration and vehicle inspections will take place on Friday evening before the Kids Parade.
There is no registration fee for 2026, although donations to the local food bank will be gratefully accepted.
Race Day
The Soap Box Derby race will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 4-6pm. Whether you're racing for speed or simply enjoying the experience, participants can look forward to an exciting day of competition and community spirit.
Show & Shine Feature
All derby cars will be displayed as part of the Fête au Village Show & Shine. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite entry, with a special Best in Show prize awarded to the winning car.
Build Your Car
Wheel kits are available for $110 through the Town Office. More information about vehicle requirements and race rules will be shared during our upcoming community information session.
Sponsorship Opportunities
The Legal Lions Club is sponsoring two cars and is currently looking for drivers. Heidi's Haus has also committed to sponsoring a car. If you're interested in racing but need support getting started, we'd love to hear from you.
Community Information Session
A community information session is tentatively planned for June 29, 2026 from 7-7:30pm at the Gazebo!
We'll walk through everything you need to know about building a car, race day, sponsorship opportunities, and how to get involved in one of the most exciting kid-focused events! Bring your questions—and maybe even a future racer! 🏎️💨
